BOYS WATER POLO TAKE 5TH IN STATE

The Ingraham boys Water Polo team had a great showing at their first appearance at State, November 13-16, 2019. They won a play-in game on Wednesday night to earn a place in the championship tournament. After losing a tough game to 3rd ranked Roosevelt on Thursday, the Rams went on to easily defeat Bellevue on Friday afternoon, securing their spot in Division 1 for the 2020 season and setting up a competitive final  day of play. After a close loss to Newport, Ingraham edged out Mercer Island to take 5th. Congratulations Rams!

Water Polo Still Welcoming New Players

It is not too late to join the team!

  • We would especially love to see some freshman guys looking for a fall sport.
  • Water polo experience not required.
  • Contact the team parents with any questions and for schedule info if you would like to come to a practice.
  • Every player/prospective player MUST have a current USA Water Polo membership (Bronze level or higher) before he can get in the water. (USAWP offers a free trial membership for those who are new to the sport and want to try it out before making a commitment.)

Fall 2019 Season

We are very excited for the upcoming season! Water polo is the most exciting sport you may never have heard of! Our players range from water polo novices to players with more than five years experience. No water polo experience needed. All are welcome; you just need to be able to swim. We'll teach you the rest.

New this year, Ingraham  is a Division 1 water polo team! This allows us more opportunities to play against the best high school teams in the state and guarantees us a spot in the state tournament. We will have practice or a game four days each week.  This will consist of some highly competitive division games as well as games targeted at the guys who are less experienced in the sport. All players will be supported by practices (in the water and dry land) to encourage a strong team environment.

Team Goals:

  • Promote and support water polo
  • Welcome players with all levels of skill and experience
  • Field a competitive Division 1 team
  • Develop & teach new players
  • Provide a water polo home for those without a school team
