The Varsity squad had a tremendous win today over rival West Seattle; their first in over 5 years as Corinne Burger poured in a tremendous goal off of a Phoebe Sallowey cross to give the girls a 1-0 lead over their heated rival.

It was a costly win, however, as the Varsity team lost starting center midfielder, junior Olivia Rea with what is believed to be a broken wrist. Freshman Isobel Baetz got the last-second start and played brilliantly for nearly 70 minutes today. The girls are currently sitting in 4th place in the Mountain Division; pending the Roosevelt/Blanchet result.

Next up for the Varsity squad is another home game on Thursday, the 24th, against Bishop Blanchet; who played Roosevelt today (no score posted yet, as of this writing).
